Hα luminosity function from JWST NIRCam/grism observations
Current PhD project. Measuring the Hα LF from NIRCam/grism observations by combining data from surveys in blank and lensed fields.
New SFR(Hα) calibrations applicable to high-z galaxies
Visiting research project, supervised by Joakim Rosdahl and Jérémy Blaizot (CRAL). Using the SPHINX cosmological simulations, derived new SFR(Hα) calibrations that reduce prediction errors for high-z galaxies observed with JWST.
Lyα escape in high-z galaxies from first JWST observations
Master's thesis project, supervised by Pascal Oesch. Measured Lyα velocity offsets and escape fractions for ~100 MUSE LAEs at z=2.9–6.1 using JWST FRESCO Hα fluxes, finding that Lyα escape rises toward higher redshift as ISM dust content declines. PDF available on request.
UV spectral properties of MUSE LAEs and connection to ionizing photon escape
Astrophysics Lab II project, supervised by Josephine Kerutt and Pascal Oesch. Stacked UV spectra of ~1400 MUSE Lyα emitters at z=2.9–6.7 to show that narrow, symmetric Lyα profiles with small velocity offsets trace higher-ionization, low-HI-column sightlines favorable for ionizing photon escape.
Origins of γ-ray emission in AGN from VLBA+Fermi/LAT observations
Bachelor's thesis project, supervised by Alexander Pushkarev and Yuri Kovalev. Cross-correlated a decade of VLBA 15 GHz and Fermi/LAT light curves for hundreds of AGN jets, localizing the dominant γ-ray emission region to several parsecs from the central engine.
